Donations
The Gunjo Foundation centers its activities on the preservation and succession of records to promote scholarship concerning telecommunications technology and modern maritime history. Your understanding and support are essential for us to maintain and develop these activities and to further expand our substantive efforts.
We sincerely ask that you endorse our initiatives and future vision, and humbly request your cooperation through a donation.
Purposes
- Unspecified Use (General Donations)
- No specific project is designated. At least 50% of the donation amount will be allocated to public interest projects, and the remainder will be used for administrative expenses and other costs.
- Support for the Telecommunications Department
- As support for the activities of the Telecommunications Department, 100% of the donation amount will be used for information and communications projects.
Specifically, this includes: Construction and maintenance of the digital archive "Chifune Bunko."
- Support for the Maritime Department
- As a donation for the activities of the Maritime Department, 100% of the donation amount will be used for maritime research projects.
Specifically, this includes: Survey of the barge at Tsukishima, which is presumed to be the battleship Hiei's motor launch.
- Support for Botamaru-Yuki
- As a donation toward our foundation's sponsorship activities, 120% of the donation amount will be delivered directly to Botamaru-Yuki herself.
Application Forms
- Recurring donations
- This is a donation that is automatically debited once a month at the amount (5,000 JPY or more, in increments of 5,000 JPY) and type (general donation or various specific donations) set by the donor.
- One-time donations
- This is a donation made once or whenever you like, with the amount (in increments of 1 JPY, starting from 50 JPY) and type (general donation or various specific donations) set by the donor.
- [Attention] For those donating with the purpose of Support for Botamaru-Yuki
- Botamaru-Yuki will be writing a thank-you letter every month, so please specify the name you would like to be addressed by. (If you prefer to remain anonymous, please leave the comments section blank or write "Anonymous".)
The names of those who donate by the 10th of each month will be included in the thank-you letter released on the 16th of the same month. For donations made on or after the 11th, your name will be included in the thank-you letter for the following month, released on the 16th.
