- The purposes of our foundation is to promote academic, scientific and technological developments related to information and communications or maritime affairs in Japan and the Solomon Islands, and to contribute to deepening mutual understanding between the two countries through surveys, research, collection and exhibition of materials.

- Projects to prevent the scattering of maritime historical materials
- Projects to establish a forum for the purpose of making public records related to the previous two items
